I got item #10 of my 12items resolution in the mail today.

Ever since I saw these amazing polaroid silk scarves by Philippe Roucou on NotCot I wanted one. Unfortunately, the city skyline image I wanted was 1. somewhere between $300 - $400 and 2. sold out.

A few months ago, I stumbled onto the website for a company, Hayden Harnett, that prints silk scarves with what ever image you provide for them! And they were having a 1/2 off sale. I knew I’d be kicking myself if I didn’t order one, even though it wouldn’t be exactly the same as the Philipe Roucou scarf design.

I took about three days trying to come up ONE design that I wanted. I was very torn between something with a lot of color

or something with a strong main color I really liked:

In the end I used an image of Market Street in downtown San Francisco that I had taken years ago, put it through a few iPhone filters and sent it off. The final result does not pick up the colors that I was hoping for which is kind of a bummer but I think I am still generally happy to have the scarf.
